Needlepoint makes me smile.
Whether I am in my studio painting a new design, collaborating with a client
on a custom piece, or watching my favorite Netflix series with the needle dancing on my own canvas.
For me, needlepoint brings happiness and tranquility, provides a creative outlet,
and has introduced me to a world of passionate and gifted stitchers.
From one stitcher to another, I hope my canvases help you to find your bliss.
With love and a smile,
Lauren

Giving Back...
the GUB Collection
GUB canvases are a collaboration inspired by original, handmade cards created by Veronica Schmerling. Veronica began to make her cards as therapy following her daughter Liz’s passing from brain cancer in 2005. Veronica has sold her cards for over 16 years and has contributed nearly $60,000 to the Elizabeth S. Schmerling Endowed Scholarship Fund at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
The GUB series is named after Liz’s favorite stuffed animal, a ladybug named “Gub.” With any canvas purchased in the GUB series, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the scholarship fund. The fund has awarded 44 scholarships to talented, rising seniors who are on track to earn a bachelor‘s degree in architecture, the field in which Liz received her degree.
Thank you for supporting this cause
when you purchase a GUB canvas!

A New Collaboration...
the DK Collection
Announcing a new collaboration that will thrill pet owners...or any stitcher who likes to smile!
Canvases starting with "DK" are a partnership with Dave Klug, a talented illustrator and artist in Pittsburgh, PA. Dave's focus on dogs and cats is whimsical, colorful and bold. The artistic simplicity of his designs translates beautifully to needlepoint canvas and allows for the use of creative stitches if desired. Dave's art has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Reader's Digest, Time, Time for Kids, Highlights, and many more. And he has worked with local Pittsburgh companies such as Highmark, PNC, Primanti Bros. Restaurants, and The Carnegie Museums.
If you are in the Pittsburgh area, make sure to visit Dave's gallery, Double Dog Studios, in Carnegie. Or, check out his website, www.doubledogstudio.com, and let me know which design you would like to see on needlepoint canvas next!
